#WeekendCoffeeShare: NanoPoblano Day 11

If we were having coffee, you’d probably say, “Where the hell have you been? I’ve been making coffee for you for months and you can’t be bothered to show up! Thanks for blowing me off!”

Well, instead of blogging I’ve been playing online games: majhongg, crossword puzzles, sudoku, and variations on solitaire. I’ve been reading. I started the 2017 Book Riot Read Harder Challenge but got distracted by one of the challenges: reread a book. I fell down the rabbit hole of reading mystery/detective series that I haven’t touched in a decade or more. That got me back into reading police procedurals and thrillers.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that, instead of blogging, I haven’t been exercising. That’s why I back to my pregnancy weight and now trying to get at least 9,240 steps a day.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that, instead of blogging, I’ve been doing regular household stuff: trying to keep Philip out of trouble, learning how to shop at Aldi, laundry, dishes, and the like.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’ve missed blogging. But only a little. Yet, rather than dipping my toe in the blogging pool I’ve dived (belly flopped?) into NanoPoblano, the most fun version of National Blog Posting Month. Not only will I publish a post every day this month, I thought I’d visit some old link parties like this.

So forgive my absence. And thanks for the coffee.

  1. Thanks for the coffee! I’m doing NaBloPoMo, is it similar? Daily blog posting challenge for November. I’m not exercising either, but I’m counting the days until my hip replacement in February.. I can’t wait to be active again. Hope you have a great week!

  2. Good luck with the writing and welcome back. Sounds like you have been busy reading and playing games. Good luck with the walking and the weight. I have to lose weight also but I just can’t stop eating. Tomorrow I say but I know it won’t come and I continue to eat. Look forward to your success. It might give me incentive.

  3. If we were having coffee I would say “Thank you very much but I prefer English Breakfast or Earl Grey tea. If there is no tea then I will have a very milky coffee with a ton of sugar!” 🙂 Then I would have to do many steps too myself to walk off those calories. And then when I am done, I would have to have a donut or something else sweet as a treat. And then go and do another million steps to make up for that. Then it would be lunchtime. Oops I’ve done it again.The struggle is real 🙂 At least my fingers are getting plenty of exercise catching up on all the NanoPoblano posts I haven’t read yet 😉
