A few weeks ago, I took Philip roller skating. We went to a “Skate/Unskate Night” held as part of Autism Awareness Month, a special event for families with autistic children or those with other sensory issues. I loved it because the rink wasn’t crowded or noisy. Philip loved it because he has discovered that skating is fun. And that hand dryers in the restrooms, while loud, are like a game where you push the button and something happens.
