spring frost

Night’s cold kiss lingers,
imprisons fresh daffodils.
Dawn’s warmth sets blooms free.

  1. That touch of spring sun must feel just as good to the flowers as it does to us! Love the first line especially–it’s like an evil spell that the dawn has to break.

    1. There is something magical about that time of day. Ever since the time change, it’s been dark when I walk my dog in the morning. I keep hearing Mama Cass sing “and the darkest hour is just before dawn.”
