Coworkers kept asking me if I had big plans for the weekend. I don’t know if that was just the usual small talk or if they were referring to Valentine’s Day. My answer to them?
It’s cold outside, so we’re staying home. We ran our errands on Saturday and have nowhere we need to be. I’m not making anything special or romantic. It’s just another Sunday.
My favorite part of Valentine’s Day is the day after. That’s when all of the chocolate and candy goes on sale. I know which stores offer half-price and the one where I can get my fix for seventy-five percent off.
But I’m not going to splurge on candy this year. Too many calories. How about we enjoy these sweet images instead.
Let’s not forget NaHaiWriMo. I’m treating you to this sweet haiku:
Forget the roses
Get me discounted candy
after the fourteenth.
