On the third Saturday of September, our county park district holds its annual Fall Harvest Festival. In the past, we’ve always had a conflict, but not this year. Philip and I headed to Pinehill Sauers Farm yesterday morning to see a cider press in operation. Philip loved watching the process. I enjoyed the view from the loft on the other side of the barn.
In addition to cider-making, there were vendors and a car show. Philip and I took a walk around the pond, but skipped the hiking trails on this visit. Of course, Philip couldn’t pass up the chance to swing in the play area. I think we’ll need to stop by in the future to explore this park even more.
