Last Christmas, my sister-in-law gave Philip a small, electronic keyboard. Every time it is turned on, the volume is almost to the max. I lower the volume, but Philip enjoys powering the keyboard off and on. That means it goes right back to being annoyingly loud.
Philip didn’t have school on Friday, so Peter had the “pleasure” of listening to the keyboard all day. I had only been home from work for an hour when I was fed up. After sending Philip off to bath, Peter stashed the keyboard on top of the refrigerator. While searching for it in the cabinet where it is kept, Philip discovered an alternative toy: a package of colorful craft feathers.
You know what’s nice about feathers? They’re quiet.
