I miscalculated.
I opened an heretofore unnoticed closet in Philip’s presence. He tallied its artistic contents within a fraction of a second.
An expanse of basement wall plus thirty minutes of his parents’ divided attention equaled a masterpiece signed in permanent marker.
Stop by and read the other entries. It’s 42 times the fun!
haha…kids can be so observant and creative, both at improper times 🙂

Yes! Love the permanent marker. You’ve said so much in 42 words.

Completely forgot that those markers were in there. /sigh

Wow! Love this for what, without stating it, it says about your special bond with your son.

I like that you had that response.

Kids have the most amazing way of filling in all of our blank spaces, literally and metaphorically. Shaking my head and waiting for my own son’s next permanent addition to our home (or heart). 🙂

We think all of the non-washable markers are now stashed. We think.

This is totally what happened to my brothers and I when we were kids. One second my mother was watching us eat cereal, next thing you know, there’s oatmeal and banana goo all over the walls and we’ve run away to avoid conflict. Kids are funny. Sometimes.

I like what he drew, but I didn’t like that it wouldn’t wash off. We just painted that wall in January.

Nothing like a white wall to inspire : )

He also drew on the closet door. And the railing at the stairs.

Lately, he has been into his initials. Gets upset if we request his full first name.

Almost used that Curious George t-shirt pic for last week’s prompt, but ended up going in a different direction.

That last picture with the t-shirt and the caption made me laugh.
Really liked this one.

I let him put the shirt on by himself, and I kind of like that it is on backwards. You see the message as he flees the scenes of his crimes.

This is great….and the photo of him in that shirt when it most certainly WAS him that took the permanent marker to the wall….hilarious. There’s nothing more interesting than raising boys 🙂

In addition to signing his creation, the stained hands were a giveaway, too.

Can I just say I love the title itself ? 🙂

That makes me happy since the draft had a thoroughly crappy title that I ditched.

After reading that, the photo of him in that shirt and your comment underneath just made my day!

A cute stinker, but a stinker nonetheless.

Cute! Your son must be smart; doesn’t miss a thing! I think I’m lucky I’ve made it through 9 years without the same happening 🙂
