There are no summer preschool programs available in our area. The school district cut the number of minutes of speech therapy that Philip received through Extended School Year (ESY) in half this summer. We paid out-of-pocket for a sensory needs class, but that only met for three hours per week for eight weeks. With minimal formal therapy or instruction available for Philip, we had to get creative to fill the unstructured summer hours.
As we prepare to send Philip back to preschool, I thought I would reflect on all of the things he did this summer. Here is a collection of images from the various activities and events that I put together for Philip’s summer vacation.
