Where do you find inspiration when you want to be creative?
In the book What’s the Big Idea, Molly?, the title character is a mouse who loves to write poetry. Unfortunately, she can’t seem to come up with any ideas. Molly the Mouse and her animal friends must get a big idea soon because Turtle’s birthday is tomorrow, and they need to make presents!
Valeri Gorbachev’s book arrived in the mail earlier this month courtesy of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program. Philip looked at some of the pictures with me, but we haven’t read the entire book together yet. Maybe when we do,Ā Philip will be inspired to do some drawing of his own.
A big thank you to the United Way of Ashland County for bringing the Imagination Library to our community.

I’m taking the Blogging from A to Z Challenge this month. Hopefully I’ll have some big ideas for the remaining posts!
What a fun big book! I always loved books that were bigger than me š

Ha! I looked at the picture and realized why you would say that. The book is just regular-sized, but I had to get at a weird angle in order to get the title in the photo.

I think we have the Dolly Parton Imagination Library here in some parts of Canada, too. Great idea for the ‘W’ post.
