It’s a wrap

I finally wrapped our Christmas presents yesterday. Philip was very interested in what I was doing. First, he tried to take the roll of wrapping paper. Then he wanted to play with the roll of tape. He was content when I gave him a few pieces of tape.

After I finished up the one roll of paper, I gave him the empty tube. This will probably be a source of amusement for the rest of the week.

When all of the presents were wrapped, I gave Philip a piece of leftover paper. Then I let him use the adaptive scissors that came with his Christmas present from  his preschool teacher. He used the scissors for a while until he realized that it was easier to tear the paper.

  1. Hey, J’s first encounter with an empty roll of paper devolved into playing whack-a-mole with his brother’s head, so I think Philip’s approach was not only kinder, but also more edifying. 🙂
